Tan Wan Ting, a business owner who is worried about juggling many different flexible work permutations:There were employees who said, "Oh, you know, my employer is not being reasonable with requests. (So) we want (the guidelines) to be a tool to help both employers and employees have a common understanding.
Aslam Sardar on open communication:Some people can have a more flexible work load, and you trust them to get the job delivered. But there are some that might not be able to ... How do I (manage) such that it's fair for the entire team?
Trust is absolutely critical ... You allow the employee to go and there's clear guidelines on how to manage expectations, both sides. And if it doesn't work, then bring the employee back ... In business, you have to make difficult decisions.
