SINGAPORE: The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said on Friday (Mar 31) it is experiencing "system slowness" at selected passenger clearance checkpoints and delays are expected.
ICA first announced an "intermittent slowness" of its immigration clearance system across all Checkpoints in a Facebook post at 11.28am.
In an update at around 12.00pm ICA said clearance is still ongoing, but advised travellers to postpone all non-essential travel where applicable.
"ICA regrets the inconvenience caused to travellers and seek their understanding and patience."
In a separate post on Facebook, Changi Airport said an immigration system disruption has affected the auto-lanes for departing and arriving passengers across the terminals.
"Passengers should expect delays and approach our ground staff if assistance is needed."
In response to CNA queries, Changi Airport Group said it is assisting passengers in the terminals and are giving queue priority to those with imminent departures.
Photos sent to CNA by reader Kelwin Li showed long queues at Changi Airport's Terminal 4.
